Thank You: iBurn's Journey Ends
Posted by Hot Sauce Boss on Feb 20th 2026
iBurn.com is now HotSauceBoss.com!

On February 15, 2026 we made the difficult (but inevitable) decision to officially retire the iBurn name after 14 amazing years and move the site to hotsauceboss.com. I want to start by thanking all of our amazing customers that have continued to support us over the years.
The main reason the move to hotsauceboss.com was inevitable, was the success of the Hot Sauce Boss social media during the pandemic. It took all of one year after creating content full-time again to reach a million followers on TikTok. A goal that I never thought possible, and a number the iBurn social media was never going to reach. New HSB followers started getting confused as to why I kept promoting this business with a different name. One commenter wrote "Why don't you start your own site instead of sending people to iburn.com? I want to support you not some other business." I didn't want to let the iBurn dream die, but sometimes you have to reimagine the dream to make it a reality.

Don't get me wrong, I love the iBurn name, but every version of our little hot shop after we left the Bellaire location (pictured above) was just a shell of the "monster trucks, great white sharks and ninjas" store that we started. Only a fraction of our customers followed us to the smaller Hillcroft location, and we got to the point where we couldn't afford a retail space with the majority of our customers online. After some difficult negotiations our landlord let us move our lease from Hillcroft to one of their warehouse properties on Richmond, which cut our rent by 50% (initially). It was a no brainer to make the move back to "online only" for the first time since 2013.
The iBurn version of the online only reboot initially had lots of potential. I was able to customize the shopping experience to my expectations for our online customers for the first time ever. I was also working feverishly to finalize a merger deal that would get iBurn back into wholesale and distribution, but due to a series of unfortunate events (including the merger failing) the momentum of the promotion faded quickly with little hope of recovery. There was only one solution; create brand synergy for Hot Sauce Boss. Thankfully, Commerce.com loved the idea, and my sponsorship with them is still in full force. We even renewed it for another year!
Expect big things in 2026, and I hope all of you will continue to support our little hot sauce site! Feel free to start by placing an order?
